Colon appeared in just one game and recorded two outs during Puerto Rico's three first-round contests at the World Baseball Classic.

So far, it's fair to say that Colon's decision to join Puerto Rico for the WBC was a miscalculation. The righty entered big-league camp competing for a job in the Indians' bullpen, but he opted to earn his Opening Day spot by showing his skills on the world stage. Unfortunately for Colon, it's not looking like he'll get a chance to show much of anything before returning to spring training with little more than a week left before Opening Day. It's likely the 27-year-old will need to log some innings in the minors before joining the Indians.
