Colon was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports.
He was summoned to replace Corey Kluber, who landed on the DL with a stiff back, but might just be up for temporary bullpen help. Mike Clevinger is expected to be recalled from Triple-A to take Kluber's spot in the rotation.
