Broxton had his team option declined Monday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
Broxton actually enjoyed success after a midseason trade to the Cardinals, working to a 2.66 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 23.2 innings in St. Louis, but he'll now become a free agent. After struggling throughout much of the first half as a member of the Brewers, the 31-year-old's strong second half should help him land a spot in the back end of a bullpen.
