Eibner's contract was selected by the Marlins on Monday.
Eibner was designated for assignment at the end of August, but he remained in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. He'll now provide assistance in the major-league bullpen over the final week of the regular season. The right-hander allowed three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings during two appearances earlier in the year.
