Eibner's contract was selected Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
He was designated for assignment two weeks ago, but with the Marlins about to play 15 games in 11 days, they need all the pitching reinforcements they can get. Eibner should be limited to mop-up duty for the most part.
