Gorzelanny has been dealing with a left shoulder injury and was sent for tests Monday, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
Gorzelanny has not pitched since March 16 because of the injury to his throwing shoulder. The 34-year-old was a non-roster invitee to camp, where he struggled, posting a 9.45 ERA in 6.2 innings. With a number of other left-handers competing for bullpen spots, this injury has all but guaranteed Gorzelanny will not make the Mets' Opening Day roster. Last season, he appeared in just seven games for the Indians.
