Pinto was claimed off waivers by the Brewers on Wednesday.

He was claimed by the Padres earlier in the offseason, and then they attempted to designate him for assignment, but the Brewers stepped in. The main concern with Pinto, as far as his fantasy value is concerned, is whether or not he will stick at catcher after dealing with concussion issues for much of last season. With that in mind, the Brewers are a prime landing spot, as Jonathan Lucroy is being shopped, and if he is moved the club would need someone to step in and share catching duties with Martin Maldonado. Pinto was a top-100 prospect a couple years ago with the Twins, primarily because his offensive skill set was extremely promising for a catcher. If he can find his way to 300-400 at-bats with the Brewers he would become an interesting endgame target in two-catcher formats.
