Light announced his retirement Monday, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Light hadn't recorded a big-league statistic since the 2016 season, when he appeared in 17 contests between stops in Boston and Minnesota. He struggled to an 11.34 ERA and 2.28 WHIP with 16 punchouts over 16.2 frames over that stretch. Light spent time in the Mariners' farm system in 2017 and 2018 prior to being released.
