Holland was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday due to left shoulder inflammation, TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Holland's 2015 season was marred by a nagging shoulder injury and now his shoulder issues have flared up again. He went just 4.1 innings in his most recent outing and it was clear he wasn't at full strength given that he allowed nine runs and a pair of walks during that start. There is no timetable for Holland's return at this time, but his absence marks yet another injury to the Rangers' pitching staff. Luke Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to fill Holland's roster spot.
