The Rays have optioned Conger to Triple-A Durham, Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 28-year-old was hitting .194/.265/.306 for the Rays in 124 at-bats. This move leaves Curt Casali as the only catcher left on the Tampa Bay roster, so expect a subsequent move in the coming days. The Rays currently have J.P. Arencibia and Luke Maile on the Triple-A roster.
