We go around baseball's rotations every Sunday of the season in our weekly Pitching Planner. We highlight every matchup, recommended two-start options, sleepers and busts and much more. The means we consider them a recommended start. The means we suggest you consider a replacement option. The teams have if we deem their week's matchups favorable and if their week's matchups are deemed unfavorable.

Arizona Diamondbacks

  1. Dan Haren vs ATL Lowe, vs STL Garcia
  2. Edwin Jackson vs ATL Medlen, vs STL Carpenter
  3. Ian Kennedy vs ATL Kawakami
  4. Dontrelle Willis vs ATL Hanson
  5. Rodrigo Lopez vs STL Ottavino

Two-starter(s): Haren and Jackson. Haren is a must-start still, while Jackson has returned to being an advisable one in all leagues.
Who is getting skipped: None. Kris Benson (shoulder) is struggling on a rehab assignment and might merely return in the bullpen now.
One-week sleeper: Jackson. He is coming off a complete-game shutout and is advisable in all leagues again after kicking his slow start to the season.
One-week bust: Lopez. He has been surprisingly effective but a matchup against the Cardinals makes him a risk even in the deepest of NL-only leagues still.

Atlanta Braves

  1. Tommy Hanson at ARI Willis
  2. Tim Hudson at MIN Liriano
  3. Derek Lowe at ARI Haren, at MIN Blackburn
  4. Kris Medlen at ARI Jackson, at MIN Slowey
  5. Kenshin Kawakami at ARI Kennedy

Two-starter(s): Lowe and Medlen. They are advisable options in most leagues amid their current hot streaks.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Medlen. He is quietly 2-0 with a 3.03 ERA in his five starts this season. Those matchups are not threatening enough to keep him out of mixed-league lineups.
One-week bust: Kawakami. He is 0-8 and pitching his way to the bullpen once Jair Jurrjens (hamstring) returns in late June. Consider Kawakami risky even in NL-only formats right now.

Baltimore Orioles

  1. Kevin Millwood vs NYY Hughes, vs NYM Pelfrey
  2. Chris Tillman vs NYY Sabathia
  3. Jeremy Guthrie vs NYY Burnett
  4. Brian Matusz vs NYM Niese
  5. Brad Bergesen vs NYM Takahashi

Jeff Karstens PIT 1 0

Two-starter(s): Millwood. He is a questionable option who likely has to be avoided in mixed leagues because of that tough first matchup.
Who is getting skipped: Bergesen. He is being skipped a turn and will reslot over the weekend, unless the O's decide to make a move to prospect Jake Arrieta (6-2, 1.77 in Triple-A), which is entirely possible.
One-week sleeper: None. All of the O's starters are dangerous options even in the deepest of AL-only leagues this week. Arrieta might be a nice sleeper if he is called up to start against the Mets, though. Consider that a real possibility now.
One-week bust: Tillman and Matusz. They are great long-term talents but they are not pitching well enough to trust in those matchups.

Boston Red Sox

  1. Clay Buchholz at CLE Masterson
  2. Jon Lester at CLE Talbot
  3. John Lackey vs PHI Blanton
  4. Daisuke Matsuzaka at CLE Carmona, vs PHI Hamels
  5. Tim Wakefield at CLE Huff, vs PHI Kendrick

Two-starter(s): Matsuzaka and Wakefield. Matsuzaka is advisable coming off his promising last start, while Wakefield is struggling and a questionable option that is likely not worth the risk.
Who is getting skipped: Josh Beckett (back). He will be taking it slow and doesn't figure to return before late June at this point.
One-week sleeper: Matsuzaka. You need guts to trust the erratic Dice-K in a 10-team mixed league, but that favorable first matchup makes him a risk worth taking.
One-week bust: Wakefield. He has been bad and isn't trustworthy enough to go against a Phillies lineup that figures to get hot.

Chicago Cubs

  1. Carlos Zambrano at MIL Wolf
  2. Ryan Dempster at MIL TBD
  3. Randy Wells vs CHW Peavy
  4. Carlos Silva at PIT Eveland, vs CHW Buehrle
  5. Ted Lilly at MIL Gallardo, vs CHW Floyd

Two-starter(s): Silva and Lilly. They are advisable options in most leagues at this point.
Who is getting skipped: None. Wells could be pitching himself back to the bullpen, where Tom Gorzelanny is waiting to return to the rotation.
One-week sleeper: Silva. At 7-0, 3.12 he is clearly good enough to trust in all leagues in a renaissance.
One-week bust: Wells. He struggled early against the Phillies on Sunday, which makes him difficult to trust in most mixed league lineups this week.

Chicago White Sox

  1. John Danks vs DET Scherzer
  2. Jake Peavy at CHC Wells
  3. Mark Buehrle at CHC Silva
  4. Gavin Floyd vs DET Galarraga, at CHC Lilly
  5. Freddy An. Garcia vs DET Porcello

Two-starter(s): Floyd. He is a questionable option that is pitching bad enough to be considered a risk not worth taking right now.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Garcia. He has won five of his past six starts, which makes him a nice option in deeper leagues.
One-week bust: Peavy, Buehrle and Floyd. They have been struggling and are not worth using in mixed formats at this point.

Cincinnati Reds

  1. Aaron Harang vs SF Sanchez
  2. Mike Leake vs SF Wellemeyer
  3. Bronson Arroyo vs KC Hochevar
  4. Johnny Cueto vs SF Zito, vs KC Bannister
  5. Sam LeCure vs SF Cain, vs KC Greinke

Two-starter(s): Cueto and LeCure. Cueto is an advisable option in those matchups, while LeCure is high-risk because he is opposing a couple of Fantasy aces.
Who is getting skipped: None. Homer Bailey (shoulder) is being held back from a rotation return at this point, but he could take LeCure second start next Sunday against the Royals.
One-week sleeper: Cueto. We will allow him to throw his last start out the window, because he is still 5-0 in his past seven starts. Those are two weak offensive teams, too. Cueto's ERA is also much better at home (3.19) than on the road (4.89).
One-week bust: LeCure. We are surprised the Reds aren't bring Bailey back when eligible Tuesday and have little confidence in LeCure getting that second start over the weekend, so Bailey has called himself able to return already.

Cleveland Indians

  1. Jake Westbrook vs WAS Lannan
  2. Fausto Carmona vs BOS Matsuzaka, vs WAS Martin
  3. David Huff vs BOS Wakefield, vs WAS Strasburg
  4. Justin Masterson vs BOS Buchholz
  5. Mitch Talbot vs BOS Lester

Two-starter(s): Carmona and Huff. Carmona is an advisable option, while Huff is high-risk.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Carmona. He draws the Red Sox but has pitched consistently enough to trust in most leagues in this two-start week.
One-week bust: Talbot. He has been a surprisingly effective rookie starter, but you cannot trust him against the Red Sox's lineup.

Colorado Rockies

  1. Ubaldo Jimenez vs TOR Romero
  2. Jason Hammel vs HOU Rodriguez, vs TOR Morrow
  3. Jeff Francis vs HOU Moehler, vs TOR Tallet
  4. Aaron Cook vs HOU Paulino
  5. Jhoulys Chacin vs HOU Oswalt

Two-starter(s): Hammel and Francis. Despite the favorable matchup against the Astros, they are not pitching well enough to be advisable in mixed leagues. Hammel is high-risk, while Francis is less risky but still a questionable option best left for deeper leagues.
Who is getting skipped: None. Jorge De La Rosa (shoulder) isn't expected to return until at least early July at this point.
One-week sleeper: Chacin. He isn't completely trustworthy, but the Astros offense should help you trust him in more leagues than you otherwise might in a one-start week.
One-week bust: Hammel, Francis and Cook. The Astros matchups are there to tease you. You shouldn't be starting these guys in mixed formats if you can help it right now.

Detroit Tigers

  1. Justin Verlander vs PIT Ohlendorf
  2. Jeremy Bonderman vs PIT Eveland
  3. Armando Galarraga vs CHW Floyd, vs PIT Karstens
  4. Rick Porcello vs CHW Garcia
  5. Max Scherzer at CHW Danks

Two-starter(s): Galarraga. He is coming off an imperfect perfect game and has to be considered at least an advisable option with those matchups.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Galarraga. He has risen in ownership 29 percent since his career-defining game. He probably should be starting in more than a mere 22 percent of leagues coming off that start and with those matchups.
One-week bust: Porcello and Scherzer. We love their talent and potential, but we don't like how erratically they are pitching at this point. Avoid them in mixed leagues, if possible. Keep them stashed for rewards down the road, though.

Florida Marlins

  1. Josh Johnson at PHI Halladay
  2. Anibal Sanchez at PHI Moyer
  3. Nate Robertson at TB Shields
  4. Ricky Nolasco at TB Garza
  5. Chris Volstad at PHI Kendrick, at TB Niemann

Two-starter(s): Volstad. He is a questionable option who has dropped his past four decisions and is facing a pair of contending first-place quality teams. He is likely best used in NL-only formats this week.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Nolasco. He has pitched better of late and is worth using in deeper formats even against a tough opponent.
One-week bust: Sanchez, Robertson and Volstad. They aren't pitching well enough to trust against those teams. Sanchez was, but he had a bad start his last time out.

Houston Astros

  1. Roy Oswalt at COL Chacin
  2. Brett Myers at NYY Pettitte
  3. Wandy Rodriguez at COL Hammel, at NYY Vazquez
  4. Brian Moehler at COL Francis, at NYY Hughes
  5. Felipe Paulino at COL Cook

Two-starter(s): Rodriguez and Moehler. Rodriguez is a questionable option we probably wouldn't trust in mixed leagues, while Moehler is a high-risk option.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Paulino. He had made four consecutive quality starts (1.61), making it through eight innings in each of the past two. Consider him a sleeper in deeper formats if you need a one-start stopgap. The fact that start is at Coors Field is a warning sign the other way, though.
One-week bust: All. The Astros starters are difficult to trust in most mixed leagues this week with those matchups.

Kansas City Royals

  1. Zack Greinke at MIN Slowey, at CIN LeCure
  2. Kyle Davies at MIN Pavano
  3. Bruce Chen at MIN Baker
  4. Luke Hochevar at CIN Arroyo
  5. Brian Bannister at CIN Cueto

Two-starter(s): Greinke. He remains an advisable option in all leagues, despite his 1-7 start to the season. For what it is worth, he has been a much better starter on the road (2.48 ERA with a .201 BAA) than at home (4.89, .318).
Who is getting skipped: None. The Royals did move Davies back a day after Monday's offday to allow Greinke to move up for a two-start week, though.
One-week sleeper: Bannister. He was outstanding again Sunday and is worthwhile in deeper leagues even if that matchup isn't a pushover.
One-week bust: Hochevar. He does have 28 strikeouts to six walks in his past four starts (31 innings, which is almost eight inning per start), but he has a 6.32 ERA on the road and that's a tough ballpark, even for a relative groundball pitcher.

Los Angeles Angels

  1. Scott Kazmir at OAK Sheets, at LAD Ely
  2. Jered Weaver at OAK Mazzaro, at LAD Kuroda
  3. Joe Saunders at OAK Braden
  4. Ervin Santana at OAK Cahill
  5. Joel Pineiro at LAD Billinsley

Two-starter(s): Kazmir and Weaver. Kazmir is a questionable option we will say run out there because of blind faith we tend to have with him. Weaver is a must-start in all leagues.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Saunders. He has had only one bad start in his past six and draws a weak offensive team in the A's.
One-week bust: Pineiro. He had given up 18 runs in his past 17 innings going into Sunday's start. Clearly, not someone to trust in a one-start week in mixed formats.

Los Angeles Dodgers

  1. Hiroki Kuroda vs STL Carpenter, vs LAA Weaver
  2. Clayton Kershaw vs STL Wainwright
  3. Chad Billingsley vs LAA Pineiro
  4. John Ely vs LAA Kazmir
  5. Carlos Monasterios vs STL Walters

Two-starter(s): Perhaps Kuroda. The Dodgers start Monasterios on Monday and Kuroda on Tuesday, but with days off Thursday and the following Monday, we expect the Dodgers will keep Kuroda on regular rest to pitch again Sunday over Monasterios.
Who is getting skipped: Likely Monasterios. We figure he will be making his last start for a while Monday, since Vicente Padilla (elbow) is targeting a June 18 return, which would send Monasterios back to the bullpen. The days off make it likely they will shuffle him to the bulllpen for the weekend series against the Angels. That hands the second start to Kuroda.
One-week sleeper: Kuroda. He has tough matchups and still might not get that second start, but he has had quality starts in eight of his 11 starts this season, which makes him someone to trust regardless of the matchups.
One-week bust: Monasterios. He likely won't get two starts and draws the Cardinals in his one start Monday. Avoid him even in NL-only leagues. In fact, you can cut him because Padilla is on track to take his rotation spot in Fantasy Week 11 (June 14-20).

Milwaukee Brewers

  1. Yovani Gallardo vs CHC Lilly, vs TEX Lewis
  2. Randy Wolf vs CHC Zambrano
  3. TBD (Chris Capuano or Dave Bush) vs CHC Dempster
  4. TBD (Chris Narveson, Capuano or Bush) vs TEX
  5. TBD (Manny Parra, Narveson, Capuano or Bush) vs TEX

Two-starter(s): Gallardo. He remains a must-start in all leagues.
Who is getting skipped: TBD. The Brewers have four options for three starts Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We cannot be sure which one will not start. It could be any of the above four, although Bush (blister) seems likely to return to the rotation after missing one start.
One-week sleeper: None. Gallardo is the only trustworthy Brewers starter in mixed leagues right now.
One-week bust: Capuano, Bush, Parra and Narveson. The rotation is in a state of flux. We figure Bush will slot somewhere, likely Thursday.

Minnesota Twins

  1. Francisco Liriano vs ATL Hudson
  2. Nick Blackburn vs ATL Lowe
  3. Kevin Slowey vs KC Greinke, vs ATL Medlen
  4. Carl Pavano vs KC Davies
  5. Scott Baker vs KC Chen

Two-starter(s): Slowey. He is a must-start in all leagues with those matchups.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Baker. He is decidedly more effective at home, going 4-1 with a 3.49 ERA at home vs. 1-3, 5.66 on the road. That is a favorable matchup, too.
One-week bust: Blackburn. We saw a hot streak and a two-start sleeper week before Fantasy Week 10 (June 7-13), but he let us down in a big way. You cannot trust him in mixed leagues in this one-start week.

New York Mets

  1. Johan Santana vs SD Latos
  2. Mike Pelfrey vs SD Richard, at BAL Millwood
  3. R.A. Dickey vs SD Garland
  4. Jonathon Niese at BAL Matusz
  5. Hisanori Takahashi at BAL TBD

Two-starter(s): Pelfrey. He has become a must-start in all leagues regardless of the number of starts or matchups.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Niese. He was great in his return from the DL and draws a favorable matchup at Baltimore.
One-week bust: Takahashi. After two great starts, he has posted a couple of stinkers. That makes him difficult to trust, even against the L-O's.

New York Yankees

  1. CC Sabathia at BAL Tillman
  2. A.J. Burnett at BAL Guthrie
  3. Andy Pettitte vs HOU Myers
  4. Javier Vazquez vs HOU Rodriguez
  5. Phil Hughes at BAL Millwood, vs HOU Moehler

Two-starter(s): Hughes. He is a must-start in all leagues, especially if you can slot him at RP in your format.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Vazqez. Vazquez has gotten hot and draws the woeful Astros.
One-week bust: None. All five of the Yankees starters are must-starts in all leagues right now.

Oakland Athletics

  1. Ben Sheets vs LAA Kazmir, at SF Zito
  2. Vin Mazzro vs LAA Weaver at SF Cain
  3. Dallas Braden vs LAA Saunders
  4. Trevor Cahill vs LAA Santana
  5. Gio Gonzalez at SF Lincecum

Two-starter(s): Sheets and Mazzaro. Sheets' full-season numbers are not great (2-4, 5.01), but he has been solid in his past six starts (3.32 ERA), getting through at least six every time out. He is an advisable option in all leagues. Mazzaro is a high-risk one you're best off avoiding in all formats.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Cahill. He has pitched five consecutive quality starts and is a great stopgap in mixed leagues right now. He is radically underowned at 32 percent, starting in only 16 percent of leagues.
One-week bust: Mazzaro. He is going to remain in the rotation with Brett Anderson (elbow) needing at least another month of rest, but Mazzaro isn't a trustworthy option outside of the deepest of AL-only leagues.

Philadelphia Phillies

  1. Roy Halladay vs FLA Johnson
  2. Jamie Moyer vs FLA Sanchez
  3. Joe Blanton at BOS Lackey
  4. Cole Hamels vs SD LeBlanc, at BOS Matsuzaka
  5. Kyle Kendrick vs FLA Volstad, at BOS Wakefield

Two-starter(s): Hamels and Kendrick. They are advisable options in most leagues, even with that tough second matchup at Boston.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Kendrick and Moyer. They are pitching well enough to trust as stopgaps in deeper mixed leagues right now.
One-week bust: Blanton. He has been giving up way too many hits and runs to trust in that tough matchup at Boston this week. Sit him in all formats where you have reserves.

Pittsburgh Pirates

  1. Zach Duke at WAS Hernandez
  2. Paul Maholm at WAS Atilano
  3. Ross Ohlendorf at DET Verlander
  4. Dana Eveland vs CHC Silva, at DET Bonderman
  5. Jeff Karstens at WAS Strasburg, vs DET Galarraga

Two-starter(s): Eveland and Karstens. They are high-risk options in any format, especially since Brad Lincoln (6-2, 3.17 in Triple-A) is potentially coming up to start Wednesday, which will move back everyone and kick out Karstens or Eveland off their two-starts and perhaps to the bullpen altogether.
Who is getting skipped: None. Eveland and Karstens will be pitching for the No. 5 rotation spot and won't get a second start over the weekend with Lincoln expected to join the rotation mid-week.
One-week sleeper: Maholm and Ohlendorf. They have been stringing quality starts together and are useful in deeper leagues now, regardless of the matchup.
One-week bust: Karstens and Eveland. We don't know which one will head back to the bullpen, although we suspect Karstens will. We wouldn't trust either risky back-end starter outside of the deepest of NL-only leagues.

San Diego Padres

  1. Jon Garland at NYM Dickey
  2. Kevin Correia vs SEA Vargas
  3. Wade LeBlanc at PHI Hamels, vs SEA Lee
  4. Clayton Richard at NYM Pelfrey, vs SEA Hernandez
  5. Mat Latos at NYM Santana

Two-starter(s): LeBlanc and Richard. They are questionable options in mixed leagues, although Richard is one we would advise using if you want to take a chance on a two-starter.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Garland and Richard. Garland is the staff ace and underappreciated in Fantasy, but Richard is the real hidden gem. He has a sub 3.00 ERA and is starting in only 44 percent of CBSSports.com's leagues. This week he should be over 65 percent.
One-week bust: LeBlanc. He had been pitching OK, but facing those aces makes him someone better suited as an NL-only starter this week.

San Francisco Giants

  1. Tim Lincecum vs OAK Gonzalez
  2. Barry Zito at CIN Cueto, vs OAK Sheets
  3. Matt Cain at CIN LeCure, vs OAK Mazzaro
  4. Jonathan O. Sanchez at CIN Harang
  5. Todd Wellemeyer at CIN Leake

Two-starter(s): Zito and Cain. They have proven to be must-starts in all leagues regardless of the number of starts or matchups.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: None. The Giants' top four are all must-starts, while No. 5 is a ...
One-week bust: Wellemeyer. He was roughed up by the Pirates (of all teams) and is awful on the road at 0-4, 10.62 and is close to being removed from the rotation for a prospect like Madison Bumgarner (5-1, 2.75 in Triple-A). Pick up Bumgarner in anticipation of a move by the Giants next week.

Seattle Mariners

  1. Felix Hernandez at TEX Lewis, at SD Richard
  2. Cliff Lee at TEX Feldman, at SD LeBlanc
  3. Ian Snell at TEX Wilson
  4. Ryan Rowland-Smith at TEX Hunter
  5. Jason M. Vargas at SD Correia

Two-starter(s): Hernandez and Lee. They are must-start aces in all leagues regardless of the number of starts or matchups.
Who is getting skipped: Doug W. Fister (shoulder). He has been shut down for a few weeks to rest an overworked shoulder. It's too bad, too, because he had been going well.
One-week sleeper: Vargas. We tend to believe he will completely cave at some point, but this week he draws a favorable matchup in a suitable pitcher's park.
One-week bust: Snell and Rowland-Smith. We cannot advise them against a potent offensive team like Texas, especially on the road.

St. Louis Cardinals

  1. Chris Carpenter at LAD Kuroda, at ARI Jackson
  2. Adam Wainwright at LAD Kershaw
  3. Jaime Garcia at ARI Haren
  4. Adam Ottavino at ARI Lopez
  5. P.J. Walters at LAD Monasterios

Two-starter(s): Likely Carpenter. He is a must-start ace regardless of the number of starts or matchups.
Who is getting skipped: Likely Walters. He starts Monday, but the Cardinals have said they will use a four-man rotation wherever possible to keep Carpenter, Wainwright and Garcia on regular rest.
One-week sleeper: None. The Cardinals' top three are must-starts and the bottom two are a pair of ...
One-week busts: Walters and Ottavino. We cannot be sure who will get the starts over the weekend. Consider them merely one-start risks for the deepest of NL-only leagues right now.

Tampa Bay Rays

  1. James Shields vs FLA Robertson
  2. Matt Garza vs FLA Nolasco
  3. Jeff Niemann vs TOR Tallet, vs FLA Volstad
  4. David Price vs TOR Marcum
  5. Wade Davis vs TOR Cecil

Two-starter(s): Niemann. He is a must-start in all leagues at 5-0, 2.79 on the season.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: None. The top four starters are must-starts, while the No. 5 is a ...
One-week bust: Davis. He has been struggling since a hot start. He could be pitching himself to the bullpen or Triple-A, if the Rays want to go to Jeremy Hellickson (8-2, 2.28 in Triple-A). Two of Davis' past three starts have been the worst of his young career.

Texas Rangers

  1. Rich Harden at MIL TBD
  2. Scott Feldman vs SEA Lee, at MIL TBD
  3. Colby Lewis vs SEA Hernandez, at MIL Gallardo
  4. C.J. Wilson vs SEA Snell
  5. Tommy Hunter vs SEA Rowland-Smith

Two-starter(s): Feldman and Lewis. Lewis is advisable amid his surprising season coming over from Japan, while Feldman is questionable amd this disappointing season coming off his 17-victory campaign.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Hunter. We didn't see that season debut coming but that start and his Fantasy Week 10 (June 7-13) matchup makes him useful in mixed leagues right now.
One-week bust: Feldman. He isn't pitching well enough to trust in mixed leagues right now.

Toronto Blue Jays

  1. Shaun Marcum at TB Price
  2. Brett Cecil at TB Davis
  3. Ricky Romero at COL Jimenez
  4. Brandon Morrow at COL Hammel
  5. Brian Tallet at TB Niemann, at COL Francis

Two-starter(s): Tallet. He is a high-risk option even in the deepest of AL-only leagues for as long as he stays in the Blue Jays rotation.
Who is getting skipped: None.
One-week sleeper: Morrow. He has been very impressive of late, handling the Yankees on Sunday. Consider him an option in mixed formats again.
One-week bust: Tallet. He will be evaluated on a start-to-start basis and might not make a second start if he struggles in the first one. Consider him merely a deeper AL-only option at this point.

Washington Nationals

  1. Stephen Strasburg vs PIT Karstens, at CLE Huff
  2. Livan Hernandez vs PIT Duke
  3. Luis Atilano vs PIT Maholm
  4. John Lannan at CLE Westbrook
  5. J.D. Martin at CLE Carmona

Two-starter(s): Strasburg. He is finally here and ready to dominate right away with those incredibly favorable matchups. He is a must-start in all leagues in his first week in the majors.
Who is getting skipped: Craig Stammen. A decent final start couldn't save his rotation or roster spot. The other four just were pitching better for longer.
One-week sleeper: Lannan. He has been good in his past four starts (2.22 ERA). Consider him a sleeper in mixed leagues if you need a one-start stopgap, especially with that favorable matchup.
One-week bust: None. We cannot believe what we are saying here: All five Nationals starters are advisable options in any format this week. The arrival of Strasburg is already changing minds.

Pitch a question

Gary: Would you recommend starting the Nationals pitching as a Staff over the White Sox in Fantasy Week 10 (June 7-13). My league is Pitching Staffs not individual pitchers.

Emack: Yes, somewhat surprisingly. The matchups make it the right way to go -- not to mention we have three White Sox starters as sits this week, while we suggest no Nationals starter should be on the bench in those formats they are already owned.

Brent Keys, San Diego: I'm growing tired of Jake Peavy. Should I drop him in favor of others? Here's best available in our league: Jeff Niemann, Colby Lewis, Brett Anderson, Johnny Cueto, Ian Kennedy, Dallas Braden, Carlos Silva and Jon Garland. What do you suggest?

Emack: I wouldn't completely give up on Peavy in most leagues, but your waiver wire is pretty full with good replacements. I would cut him for Cueto's two-start week and pick him right back up after the lineup deadline passes, if possible. If you lose out on Cueto or getting Peavy back, go with Niemann, Kennedy or some other flavor of the week there on out.
