Vasquez (ankle) will not play in Friday's game against the Hornets, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Vasquez's absence puts the Nets down two point guards with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) expected to be sidelined for two weeks. There is still no exact timetable for Vasquez to return as he is bothered by the same ankle that he had surgery on nearly a near ago, but Isaiah Whitehead, Sean Kilpatrick and Randy Foye would all be in line to see extended run as primary ball handlers in the backcourt for as long as both Lin and Vasquez are out.
