Mitchell recorded four tackles (one solo) against the Broncos on Sunday.

Mitchell finished the season third on the team with 80 tackles (58) and nine passes defended. He also led the defense with three interceptions, and shared the lead with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. This is the player the Steelers thought they were getting when they signed Mitchell to a five year, $25 million deal as a free agent from the Panthers in 2014. With three years remaining on that contract, Mitchell will be back next season, looking to extend his consecutive regular season games started streak, currently at 46, which is the sixth longest active consecutive games played streak among for an NFL free safety.
