Flyers' Boyd Gordon: Lands on LTIR

Gordon (upper body) has been placed on long-term injured reserve to accommodate the return of Michael Del Zotto (lower body), starting with Saturday's road game against the Canadiens, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

This is a cap-saving measure for the Flyers, and not necessarily indicative of Gordon suffering any kind of setback. However, per league rules regarding LTIR, the faceoff specialist will not be able to play for the next 10 games or 24 days.
