Halischuk was recalled by the Jets on Wednesday.
Hahlischuk will provide the Jets with some forward depth following the placement of Mark Scheifele on injured reserve Wednesday. Coincidentally, he was sent back to AHL Manitoba earlier in January due to the activation of Scheifele off IR, but will now rejoin the parent club. Regardless, the winger is a speculative play on a daily basis, and averaged just 7:34 of ice time over the seven games he's drawn in with the Jets this season.
