Brewers starting pitcher Ariel Pena (2-1) was touched up for three earned runs on five hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Cubs.

He struck out six batters during the contest.Pena has failed to pitch into the sixth inning in any of his first five big-league starts, but has shown some promise, averaging 9.25 K/9. His next test will be to further limit his walks, having allowed three in 9.1 inning in his past two outings after surrendering 10 in 15 inning in his first three starts of the season.
