Spring training action continued Friday in the Grapefruit (Florida) and Cactus (Arizona) leagues, and two games ended with walk-off home runs by players facing former teams.

In the Nationals-Marlins game, Justin Maxwell clubbed a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth with one out to win it for the Marlins (recap here). Maxwell was drafted by the Nationals out of the University of Maryland in 2005 and was with the organization through 2010.

In what had to be the most exciting game of the day, the Phillies topped the Braves, 12-11, on a Cedric Hunter walk-off home run. Here it is:

The Phillies had a seven-run second inning to take a 7-1 lead. The lead was 9-3 before the Braves scored four runs in each the eighth and ninth to take an 11-9 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, setting the stage for Hunter's big blast (game recap here).

Hunter spent the past two seasons in the Braves' system (2014 with Double-A Mississippi and 2015 with Triple-A Gwinnett). He has five career MLB plate appearances, which all came with San Diego in 2011.
