The Dolphins and free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh have yet to officially announce their new deal to join forces. But it's coming.

Maybe the Dolphins are waiting to let this whole potential tampering situation die down. Or maybe there's just a holdup in the paperwork.

After all, when you're talking about $60 million guaranteed as part of a six-year, $114 million contract, it might take a little longer than expected. But one of his new teammates, Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, said Suh is worth the money.

"I'm very excited about our season coming up. Obviously we signed the best defensive player in the NFL, which is Ndamukong Suh. I'm glad they did it," Pouncey said in an interview with CBSSports.com during a training session for XPE Sports. "He's going to help our defense out tremendously. He makes our football team a playoff football team."

Pouncey said he's looking forward to facing Suh every day during practice.

"He's going to make me better," Pouncey said. "I know I'm going to go out there and make him better. I'm looking forward to it. He's going to help us win a lot of football games."

The Dolphins haven't made the playoffs since 2008 and fell short with the postseason within reach each of the past two seasons. But Pouncey believes the team is ready for a Super Bowl run this year.

And Suh is a big reason why.

"We finally got the pieces that we really need for our football team," Pouncey said.
