The 49ers placed defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey on the injured reserve with a designation to return Tuesday while re-signing wide receiver Kassim Osgood , the team announced.
Dorsey, who recently signed a contract extension, is recovering from a torn bicep and has a chance at returning before the end of the season. Osgood was cut this past weekend as the team trimmed its roster to 53 players.
