La'el Collins might be an undrafted rookie but he is very, very, very good at his job. The latest evidence came in the second half of Sunday's game against the Packers when the Cowboys' offensive lineman destroyed Green Bay safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix on Darren McFadden's 45-yard run.

Pay special attention to No. 71, who steamrolls Clinton-Dix and then nearly outruns McFadden down the sidelines.

If this looks familiar, it should; Collins has been demolishing would-be tacklers since the preseason.

Of course, Collins isn't your typical undrafted free agent; leading up to the 2015 NFL Draft, he was widely considered a first-round pick.

As colleague Jared Dubin wrote back in August:

A few days before the draft, though, Baton Rouge police announced that they wanted to question Collins about the shooting death of his former girlfriend, Brittney Mills, who had been killed the week before and was pregnant at the time. Collins was not considered a suspect at any point, but the questions surrounding his status caused him to go undrafted.

He did eventually meet with police, and he cooperated fully, passed a polygraph test and was found not to be the father of Mills' child. Collins met with the Buffalo Bills and had a meeting scheduled with the Miami Dolphins, but canceled it after agreeing to a three-year, fully guaranteed contract with the Cowboys.

Collins has been solid for the Cowboys though you have to wonder how much his draft slide cost him.
