The New York Jets are a bad football team. On Saturday night, they hung with the Dolphins for a half, leading us to believe that they might not be a bad football team.

Don't worry, though, they're still bad. Their third-quarter implosion was awful.

A three-point game at the break turned into a 24-point game in roughly four minutes.

The implosion began with a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown. Not even the Jets' illegal formation could prevent the block:

The Dolphins might be good at this special teams thing.

The implosion continued with a horrible interception by Bryce Petty, which Matt Moore turned into his third touchdown pass of the game. The lead stretched to 17 points

Later in the third quarter, Moore connected with Jarvis Landry on a 66-yard catch-and-run for the quarterback's fourth touchdown. This is not a drill: Moore has four touchdowns.

Landry did pretty much all the work on the fourth touchdown, though.

And that's how the Dolphins took a commanding 34-10 lead out of virtually nowhere. Special teams and Matt Moore, which is somehow an unstoppable combination.
