Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott might be rookies right now, but they definitely don't play that way on the field. As a matter of fact, they don't act like rookies, either.
If you need proof, just look what happened at the end of the Cowboys win over the Steelers on Sunday.
After Pittsburgh scored a touchdown that put the Steelers ahead, 30-29, with just 42 seconds left to play, Elliott went up to Prescott and said something that you wouldn't expect a rookie to say to another rookie.
The Cowboys running back wanted to make sure that Prescott was ready to grab the moment and not let the moment grab him.
"I look at Dak and I was like, 'Look, man. This is why we're here. This is why we're in Dallas, and this is where great players become great. This is where great players perform and do what they need to do,'" Elliott said after the win, via David Helman of DallasCowboys.com.
After Elliott's talk, Prescott went out and did exactly what he needed to do. The rookie quarterback threw for 28 yards on a Cowboys' game-winning drive that was capped by an Elliott 32-yard touchdown run with nine seconds left.
Elliott would finish the game with 114 yards on the ground and 95 receiving yards. The fourth overall pick also added three touchdowns and one solid piece of advice.
As for Prescott, the fourth-round pick threw for 319 yards and two touchdowns.
Some players can be overwhelmed by the type of pressure that Prescott and Elliott faced on that final drive, but not these two rookies -- they seem to thrive in situations like that.
That's good news for the Cowboys and bad news for the rest of the NFL because there's a good chance that Prescott and Elliott will be terrorizing the NFL together for a long time to come.
