Jets cornerback Aaron Berry suffered a torn ACL during practice on Friday and will miss the entire 2013 season, the team announced

In his first season with the Jets last year, Berry played in a total of seven games. The 25-year-old defensive back was expected to compete with Ellis Lankster for the No. 4 spot in the Jets cornerback rotation.

Berry had been in New York since signing a two-year deal with the Jets in October. Before that, Berry was in Detroit for two seasons. However, the Lions released him in July of 2012 after he was arrested for the second time in two months.

With Berry out, the Jets might feel some extra pressure to get first-round pick Dee Milliner signed and into camp. The ninth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft isn't under contract yet and isn't in camp.
