Jets defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson was released Wednesday, Seth Walder of The New York Daily News reports.

Vickerson signed a one-year contract with the Jets in March after playing 10 games with the Chiefs in 2014, but he was never able to make it on the field with his new club, suffering a hamstring injury that ultimately landed him on injured reserve in the beginning of September. He could catch on with another team and provide some depth along the defensive line, if he returns healthy.
