The Titans have placed quarterback Jake Locker on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, likely ending his four-year career with the Titans, the Tennessean reports. He's set for season-ending shoulder surgery on Tuesday, per the team's official website.

He left Week 15 against the Jets with the injury after completing 6 of 11 passes for 57 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He missed three games earlier this season due to injury and lost his starting job to rookie Zach Mettenberger in Week 8.

Locker, who is on the final year of his four-year, $12,586,002 contract, completed 57.5 percent of his passes for 4,967 yards with 27 touchdowns and 22 interceptions through 30 career games with the Titans.
