After nine seasons, Titans linebacker Kamerion Wimbley announced his retirement Thursday, saying on Twitter that, "I'd like to thank the National Football League for giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love."

Wimbley spent the last three seasons with the Titans, playing in 45 games and recording 73 tackles and 11 sacks. He played four years with the Browns after being drafted out of Florida State and two more with the Raiders. 

Wimbley finishes his career with 53.5 sacks, with a career-high of 11 in his rookie season.
