Just hours after five Dallas police officers were killed during a shooting on Thursday night, Dallas Police Chief David Brown held a press conference and pleaded for one big thing from the general public: Support.
"We don't feel much support most days," Brown said early Friday. "Let's not make today most days. Please, we need your support to be able to protect you from men like these who carried out this tragic, tragic event."
The shooting in Dallas was the deadliest single incident for U.S. law enforcement since the terrorist attacks in New York on Sept. 11, 2001. The Dallas shooting left five officers dead and seven others wounded. You can read more on the shootings by heading over to CBSNews.com.
After Brown asked for support, he got it. Many Cowboys players offered condolences to everyone who lost their life on Thursday night.
Tony Romo was one of the several Cowboys players who shared tweets in the hours after the shooting.
Our community is stunned this morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to the fallen police officers and their loved ones.

Some players weren't in the business of offering condolences though -- they just want all violence to end. The Dallas shootings took place shortly after a protest had finished. Hundreds of people were marching on in downtown Dallas on Thursday to protest the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.
Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott and Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald were among the players asking for violence to end.
The violence has gotta stop
