Gisele Bundchen isn't someone who opens up about her private life too often, but the supermodel did open up on Tuesday, during an interview on CBS This Morning.
During a 10-minute sitdown with Charlie Rose, Bundchen talked about a variety of topics, including the one time she thought about ending her relationship with Tom Brady.
Brady and Bundchen started dating in December 2006 and about two months after the relationship started, Brady's ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, announced that she was pregnant.
As you can imagine, Bundchen wasn't too excited to learn that her new boyfriend was about to have a child with another woman.
"It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking, I'm dating this guy, we met, and we started dating and everything is great and then this happens," Bundchen said.
After she learned about the pregnancy, Bundchen said that she considered leaving the Patriots quarterback.
"I felt like I didn't know what to do," Bundchen said. "It was kind of one of those moments of like, 'Do I just run away?'"
Bundchen ended up staying with Brady though and the couple, who got married in 2009, went on to have two kids together.
The supermodel views Moynahan's son as a "bonus child."
"Eight years later, I couldn't have asked for a sweeter bonus child," Bundchen said.
As for the current state of their relationship, Bundchen says there have been some "tough times," but things are good.
"I think we've been through a few tough times together," Bundchen said. "I think that's when you know who are your friends and who loves you. My father always said, the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships, and I think, no matter how challenging it was, we've always been supportive of one another. I think that's the most important thing you can have in life, you know? A support system and love."
"He is a very kind man," Bundchen said of Brady. "He's kind. He's a good man."
