Dietrich was released by the Nationals on Monday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Dietrich joined Washington on a minor-league deal in July, but he failed to do much with the opportunity. He slashed .121/.270/.212 with three homers and 13 RBI in 43 contests.
