Bruce went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, a run scored and three RBI in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.
The blast came against Rick Porcello, and Bruce is now hitting .417 (5-for-12) with a 1.283 OPS through the early part of the spring. The Mets tried hard to unload the 29-year-old in the offseason, but Bruce is still coming off his fourth campaign with at least 30 home runs and could end up producing big power numbers from the heart of their order in 2017.
