Bruce is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Bruce will head to the bench for the first time after going 3-for-27 while starting at first base in each of the Yankees' eight games to date. The Yankees will shift DJ LeMahieu over to first base as a replacement for Bruce, allowing the newly acquired Rougned Odor to make his first start for New York at the keystone.
