Fien was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right rotator cuff strain, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
Fien was blown up for five runs in 0.2 innings during his last outing, something an injury could help explain. He'll be eligible to return July 1 if he's ready, though it's still unclear if the 33-year-old will need more than the 10-day minimum stay. Mark Leiter was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding roster move and will start Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.
