Diaz (forearm) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Sunday, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz checked out fine during his lone rehab outing with High-A Charlotte on Tuesday, which was enough to convince the Rays to bring him back on the active roster. After submitting a 5.49 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over 19.2 innings prior to the injury, Diaz should slot into middle relief for the Rays. The team optioned Ryne Stanek to Triple-A Durham to clear a spot for the right-hander.
