Ruiz was recalled by the Rockies on Tuesday.
Ruiz is a career .214/.290/.364 hitter through 285 games at the major-league level, and he was even worse than that in 32 games for the Orioles at the start of this season before getting released. Still, anyone with a regular role who plays half his games at Coors Field is worth a look. Ruiz doesn't have such a role at the moment, so he can likely be ignored by fantasy managers in most formats for now, but deadline deals or injuries to the Rockies' regulars could certainly give him some deep-league appeal. Matt Adams was released in a corresponding move.
