Rockies' Rio Ruiz: Sent to minors

The Rockies optioned Ruiz to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

At the big-league level with Baltimore and Colorado this season, Ruiz slashed a dismal .168/.243/.272 with three home runs and 10 RBI in 141 plate appearances.
