Eibner was assigned to Triple-A Omaha on Monday, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
Eibner struggled a fair amount against major league pitching, going 2-for-14 with five strikeouts, although he did draw six walks in that time. He'll spend some more time in the minor leagues, but if he hits like he did last year with the Storm Chasers (.878 OPS with 19 home runs and 81 RBI), the Royals may be forced to find a way to get him into their lineup.
