Denorfia agreed to a minor league contract with the Yankees on Wednesday.
While it took Denorfia until spring training to find a home, he landed in a favorable spot, as he joins an outfield competition that includes two switch-hitters and only left-handed hitters otherwise. He will work as a reserve outfielder for the Yankees if he makes the cut.
