Hawes will be waived by the Bucks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Reports surfaced earlier that the Bucks would use the stretch provision to waive Hawes and spread his cap hit over multiple years. Wojnarowski confirmed the report late Thursday. Hawes will be an unrestricted free agent once he clears waivers.
