Patriots' Tre' Jackson: Won't return this year

Jackson (knee), who opened the season on the PUP list, won't be returning to game action this year, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson will be shut down for good, as offseason arthroscopic knee surgery has led to a lengthy recovery period. The second-year offensive guard will look to return to full health by the time training camp rolls around in 2017.
