Brown was traded to the Rangers on Sunday in exchange for Ryan Bourque.
The 25-year-old winger has just 20 games under his belt with AHL Hershey this season, tallying three goals and six assists over that period, but had an assist in each of his last four contests. He'll likely serve in a similar organizational depth role with the Rangers, but the big-bodied forward could see some NHL time if the club is in need of an added physical presence.
