Giants pitcher Erik Cordier was activated from the disabled list Sunday and designated for assignment, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Cordier was placed on the disabled list in April due to a forearm strain, but he reached the end of his rehab window yesterday, prompting the team to make a move. The pitcher has posted a 1.50 ERA and 20:8 K:BB ratio in 12 innings between high Class A San Jose and Triple-A Sacramento.
