The Red Sox released Cordier from his minor-league contract last week, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
The 31-year-old appeared in six games for Pawtucket and logged a 5.40 ERA and 15:9 K:BB over 8.1 innings before receiving his walking papers. Cordier, who last appeared in the majors in 2015 with the Marlins, will look to latch on elsewhere as organizational filler.
