Giants righty Cordier ready for short rehab start Thursday

Giants right-hander Erik Cordier is set to make a rehab start for Class A San Jose on Thursday night. He is expected, however, to pitch just one inning.

The 29-year-old Cordier, who has just seven major league appearances and six innings under his belt, was sidelined with a forearm strain late in spring training.
