After Giants running back David Wilson suffered a neck injury last month, he admitted that he was worried that the injury might cost him the rest of his season. Though he received some good news a few days later in which he was told his neck wouldn't require a season-ending surgery, one report Thursday states that we won't see Wilson for the rest of the year.
That's because the Giants plan to place Wilson on the season-ending IR list, according to the Newark Star Ledger. In part, that's because running back Andre Brown is due to come off the short-term injury list at 4 p.m. ET.
Wilson underwent an MRI earlier this week, and he reportedly has made significant progress in his rehabilitation. However, doctors still haven't cleared him to practice.
Writes the paper: "The area of concern still lies around the herniated disc as it pertains to a case of spinal stenosis, a chronic injury that Wilson was diagnosed with following a trip to a specialist after the initial injury."
