Player A stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 265 pounds. He entered the NFL in 2011 and has proceeded to catch 182 passes for 1,781 yards and 22 touchdowns, which means he averages 36.4 receptions, 356.2 yards, and 4.4 touchdowns per season.

Player B stands also stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 265 pounds. He entered the NFL in 2010 and has proceeded to catch 380 passes for 5,555 yards and 65 touchdowns, which means he averages 63.3 receptions, 925.8 yards, and 10.8 touchdowns per season.

Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph believes Player A is better than Player B. Of course, it's worth noting that Player A is Rudolph. It's also worth pointing out that Player B is Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. So, to be clear, Rudolph believes he's better than Gronk -- and every other tight end in the NFL.

When speaking with the Pioneer Press, Rudolph was asked if he considers himself the best tight end in the NFL. His response?

"Absolutely," Rudolph said. "Route running and catching balls, to many, is all that matters. But it's also (about) being one of the best blockers, one of the best pass protectors."

Rudolph didn't stop there. He also happens to blame Fantasy football as the reason why he's so overlooked.

"The world revolves around Fantasy football," Rudolph said. "That's just the nature of sports right now, and that's just the way it is. But I know that when I come to work every Monday, and I (watch) the film, I may have only caught two balls, but if I did my job in the run game and pass protection, (Vikings coach Mike Zimmer) is going to be happy."

Rudolph is right about one thing: A good tight end does more than just catch passes. A good tight end also blocks, a category I omitted in my player descriptions above.

So, this appears worthy of a mention now:

Just so we're keeping count, this is now the second tight end to admit that he's either delusional or vastly overconfident. Earlier this month, Crockett Gillmore anointed the Ravens tight ends as the best tight end group in the league, also forgetting about the Patriots duo in Gronk and Martellus Bennett -- easily the most dominant group in the NFL.

So, in an effort to make sure NFL tight ends stop forgetting about Gronk, here's an unforgettable Gronk touchdown in which he destroys everything and everyone in his path:
