Walker was claimed off waivers by the Brewers on Friday, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

A third-round pick in 2012, Walker packs tremendous raw power as evidenced his 124 home runs in 584 career games in the minors. However, he sells out for that power -- he's struck out nearly 400 times over the past two seasons (202 times in 2016). Walker's 25 and it seems the Twins lost hope in him ever making enough contact to be a useful major leaguer, but there's little downside here for the rebuilding Brewers, who could end up moving Walker in to first base.
