Some teams in the league have the kind of depth to survive the loss of a star. If the Bulls lost Joakim Noah or Derrick Rose for an extended period of time, the team's savvy roster construction gives them enough competent bodies to plug the holes.

And that goes for Fantasy purposes as well. If Noah or Rose goes down, Nikola Mirotic and Taj Gibson for the former and Aaron Brooks for the latter would see big boosts in their Fantasy upside. You can see similar scenarios in New York with Carmelo Anthony or Miami with Dwyane Wade, given the presence of guys like Tim Hardaway and Mario Chalmers, respectively.

However, as the Kings have shown with DeMarcus Cousins' absence because of an illness, not every team is positioned to survive the loss of a star. Nobody on Sacramento's roster can provide even 60 percent of what Cousins can, which leaves Fantasy owners who were relying on Cousins in a big hole. On Monday's episode of the Fantasy Basketball podcast, Zach Harper and I look at other players like Cousins, who have no obvious handcuffs at this point in the season.

Additionally, we tackle the latest news, including the absence of three premier big men: Cousins, Dwight Howard and Brook Lopez. Center is already a shallow position, so how should Fantasy owners approach things without the services of these three for at least the next week?
