Welcome to Worst Bets -- my weekly column guaranteed to make you money.

Just go opposite of what I say.

It's been a week of abuse after going 0-5 with my picks as part of Team Oddshark in the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook contest. If I tried to go winless, there is no way it happens.

That's how bad things are going. I went into Week 3 at .500, and complaining about it. I'd take it now.

Things got so bad that I actually considered letting my cat make my picks for me. But that would be making a joke of it, and I intend to turn it around. So I am taking to calling these my Worst Bets in hopes that it reverses the curse.

I actually do like these picks, which is scary since I liked all five last week.

Did somebody put a whammy on me? Is this the curse of the Russell Wilson cult?

If so, what do I have to do to remove it? Say he's great? OK, he's great (I am lying).

Just take the curse off.

I need some winners. In the contest, I included the Bengals from Thursday night. But since this column is for the weekend, I will add the extra game. That means six to lose.

With that, here are my Week 4 Worst Bets:

Jets plus 2.5: I know Russell Wilson is playing, but he's hurt and he's not the same quarterback when he can't move. The Jets have a good front. I don't think Ryan Fitzpatrick will do much against this Seattle defense, which means it's a low-scoring game. This will be like the Week 2 Rams-Seahawks game. Give me the points.

Falcons plus 3: The Falcons have defensive issues, but the Panthers can't rush the passer. That means Matt Ryan should have another big day throwing it. I see a shootout with Cam Newton getting his as well. But in the end, Ryan will make a big play late to win it. Take the points.

Broncos minus 3: I know Denver is playing consecutive road games, which is always tough and even tougher when they are in the 1 p.m. ET window of games for a team coming from the west. But I think their defense is special and it travels, and Tampa Bay doesn't have a good defense. Look for the Broncos to win easily here.

Chargers minus 4: The Saints are traveling west on a short week with a defense that is terrible. Philip Rivers has to be so excited to play that unit. The Chargers won big in their only home game against Jacksonville, and they will do so here again. Rivers lights up the Saints.

49ers plus 2.5: Dak Prescott has done some good things, but now there's a book on him. That mean it will start to get tougher. I think the 49ers defense will be up to facing Prescott, especially without Dez Bryant. The 49ers might win this outright. Take the points.
