Eakin scored the only Dallas goal during Thursday's loss to Minnesota.
While Eakin has been limited to just 37 games this season, this was also only his second goal. After a respectable three-year stretch where he averaged 17 goals and 36.6 points per season, Eakin's two tallies and eight points aren't moving the fantasy needle in 2016-17. He is capable of providing an uptick in production over the coming weeks, but he'll always be more of a meat-and-potatoes players than a scorer, so it's best to take a wait-and-see approach.
