Inter Milan continues its quest for its 20th Italian Serie A title as it takes on bitter rival AC Milan on Saturday. In defense of its league title last season, Inter has only lost one league match all year, and comes into the weekend the winner in nine of its last 10 matches, with a draw in the other. After starting the season hot, AC Milan has just five wins, four losses and two draws since its last meeting with Inter, which ended with a 1-1 tie on November 11. You can see what happens when you stream the game live on Paramount+.

Italian Serie A picks for Inter Milan vs. AC Milan

Before tuning into Saturday's match, you need to see the AC Milan vs. Inter Milan picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $37,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For Inter Milan vs. AC Milan, Green is picking Inter to win and for the match to stay under 4.5 total goals at +125 odds. Although Inter has been on a tear since last fall, its last four matches have all finished at-or-under three total goals. Something similar could be said for AC Milan, whose last three matches finished short of the four-goal threshold. Additionally, none of the last four meetings between the clubs produced more than three total goals.

Concerns are higher for AC Milan, who scored just one goal over its last two matches, which began with a 2-1 loss to 14th place Spezia on January 17. Perhaps the more concerning trend for AC Milan over those last two matches was the failure to take advantage of goal-scoring opportunities. Against Spezia, the Rossoneri had a season-high 40 plays that resulted in shot-creating actions, but the club was only able to take a single goal. AC Milan finished with a below-average 22 shot-creating actions in its following match against Juventus.

Another wild card is the condition of the pitch at San Siro. Both clubs' managers have expressed concerns about areas on it which have been overly worn due to excessive play.

"Sections of the turf at the San Siro have been re-laid after both managers, Inter's Simone Inzaghi and AC Milan's Stefano Pioli, complained about the state of it following a high volume of games." Green told SportsLine. "That has apparently created a bizarre patchwork effect. It could play into Inter's hands, as the Nerazzuri plays a lot of crosses into the box, whereas AC Milan is more focused on playing the ball on the ground."
